Seed catalogs once offered almost nothing but unsexed stock, and the shift toward feminized products began only in the late 1990s. Today regular cannabis seeds occupy a smaller share of the market, yet they remain the standard format for heirloom landraces and limited breeder releases. Collectors value them for preserving old genetics that have never been reversed or chemically treated. Several long-established seed banks continue to release their flagship lines exclusively in this form for that reason.
